Meet Our Smile Team

Leslie graduated Summa Cum Laude from Christian Brothers University. She and her husband (Dr. Marrio) opened the practice in 2005. She loves what Dr. Marrio has built and admires his rapport with his patients: he is able to devote himself to providing exceptional dentistry while getting to know them while genuinely caring about their well-being. She likes that she gets to contribute her skills to the mission by making sure the practice has what it needs to perform. She liaisons with suppliers, contractors and agents providing services to us. She is also responsible for maintaining the office properties, graphic design needs and technology implementation. She is currently the project manager and designer for our renovation and expansion.

Leslie and Dr. Marrio have four grown daughters. She is a creative person who likes sewing, drawing, painting and any type of design. She is also a history and science enthusiast who is fascinated by how things are made and enjoys reading and learning new things.

Karen has been in the dental field since 2011 after she obtained her dental assistant license from Arkansas Dental Assistant Academy. She has been with us since November of 2023. She loves being a part of the dental field, helping patients and contributing by making sure account balances are current and that all team members are contributing accordingly to have a successful business day.

Marquitta received her CNA and Medical Administration certificate at MidSouth community College in West Memphis, Arkansas. She joined our team in February 2019. She is a people person who loves connecting with the team and patients. Her job is to try her best to be consistent and knowledgeable to help keep consistent revenue flow. Her motto in life is: “Keep calm and go the extra mile.” Marquitta is a wife and mother of three children (two girls and a boy) and she absolutely loves it. She loves to eat, travel, shop and participate in church functions where she is a youth choir director.

Nita attended Rice College where she completed a degree in Business Management. She has also completed a series of CE courses in the same field from Pinnacle and MGE. She worked with Dr. Marrio for a number of years outside Dr. Marrio Smiles then joined The Smile Team officially in July of 2015. She loves what she does and treats every day as a Good Day to have a Good Day! She sees how the office is transforming and growing and loves being a part of a good change. It is always satisfying to see a completed Dr. Marrio Smiles smile. Nita’s job is creating and implementing programs. She has over 30 years of experience in dental administration and has been given the most welcomed task of giving structure and daily guidance to assist in continual growth and prosperity within her grasp. Nita is married with two beautiful daughters and four wonderful grandchildren. She loves movies, plays, music, vacationing, spending time with family and SHOPPING!

Laurent attended Tennessee State University where she was a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. She joined Dr. Marrio Smiles in 2020 and contributes through day-to-day marketing analytics and implementation. She enjoys the diversity and celebrated local culture at Dr. Marrio Smiles.

Danielle graduated with honors from Concorde Career College in 2019 as a dental assistant. She joined our team in March of 2023 and is very knowledgeable about any procedure she is doing. She cares for every patient she sees and loves how the practice feels like one big family.

Tamia graduated from Ridgeway High in 2018 and enrolled in Southwest community college. She has over two years of experience with insurance and providing excellent services to patients in the front office. She contributes by getting patients ready to be seen in the back, checking existing insurance and entering patient information in the computer system. Tamia loves the environment, the family feel, meeting new faces, learning about the patients and bonding with her work family. She loves going out with friends, exploring new things and traveling.

Gereka completed her education in 2012 after graduating from Concorde Career College. She began working at Dr. Marrio Smiles in May of 2021 and likes being able to bring smiles to patients, as well as bringing their accounts up to date. Let us just say she is one of the reasons the lights stay on! As far as her team members, she believes that talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win championships. Gereka’s family is everything to her. She is a girl and boy mom and has been married to her wonderful husband, Korry, for three years and counting! She loves to cook, sing and dance, and loves being a wife and mom!

Aria graduated with an associate degree from Southwest Tennessee Community College. She started a family and went to school to be a dental assistant at Concorde Career College to support her family and future career. She has her coronal polishing and radiology certifications. She began working at Dr. Marrio Smiles in November of 2021. She loves how she has built a work family here and how Dr. Marrio is so kind and patient, and a wonderful doctor to work for. When Aria says she is a Jack-of-all-trades, she means it! She is a team player all around (Smiles team on 1, 2, 3…WOOOO!) Aria has two beautiful girls and a wonderful village that is always there for them. Her hobbies include dancing, singing, cooking and being funny.

In 2014, Keirra graduated from Concorde Career College as a dental assistant. Soon after graduating, she gained credentials in coronal polishing, sealants, nitrous oxide monitoring, Zoom Whitening, radiology, Ortho Archwire and as a CPR instructor. She joined the Smile Team in February of 2022. She loves her team, patients and doctors and is the go-to person who makes sure patients are handled with care. She believes that great leaders do not set out to be leaders, only to make a difference; it is never about the role, but always about the GOAL! Keirra is married and has four children (one girl and three boys) and a four-year-old fur baby (dog). She loves to have fun with her friends and family.

Camesha graduated from Vatterott Career College Dental Assistant program in 2017, before joining our practice in October of that same year. She is certified in coronal polishing, sealants, radiography and straight wire one and two. She enjoys the environment at Dr. Marrio Smiles and being around genuine people and making them smile. She sees her job as an opportunity to contribute to an exciting, forward-thinking, fast-moving company. She is a dedicated, motivated team player who is confident in all the responsibilities of her job description, and her personal skills allow her to make patients comfortable during their visits. Camesha is a loving mother of a handsome baby boy and is very family oriented. She loves to have fun and is the life of the party! (P.S. Dr. Marrio is the best, hands down!)

Fatima graduated from Concorde Career College as a lamp lighter with high honors. She started working here in September of 2023, and is a registered dental assistant and CPR certified. Her first language is Spanish, having been raised in Jalisco, Mexico; what she enjoys most about working here is getting to help Hispanics who do not speak English understand what is going on and answering their questions. Fatima contributes to the success of the practice by doing her best, being a team player, showing up on time and being willing to come early or stay late to help out. She is married and has four dogs, and loves taking her dogs to the park in her free time.

Terrel graduated from Concorde Career College in 2021 before joining our team in November that same year. He loves doing orthodontic work and contributes by assisting Dr. Val and helping out around the office. He has a young daughter and loves working out, playing video games and reading comic books in his spare time.
